Frequently Asked Questions

For private bookings we arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to set up and leave 15 minutes after the agree start and finish times. For Corporate and Community events arrival & set up time is usually at an agreed time. 

All make up products are of professional cosmetic grade including SPFX and face paints. The brand of Face Paints mainly used are TAG, Superstar & Fusion. Manufacturers recommend not to use their products on children under 3 years, although this can be done at the request of a parent. FacepaintingFX takes no responsibility for any allergic reactions and is indemnified against such. SPFX products mainly used are Ben Nye, Kryolan and Mehron. 

Eyelash glue or Pros-Aide which is a medical grade non-allergic adhesive is used to adhere gems and SPFX appliances to the body. Depending on how much is used will depend on the method and preference of removal. Talk to the Artist. Usually these products can be peeled off.

Face Paint can be easily removed with regular face soap & warm water. Sometimes reds and greens like to be a little persistent but should fade very quickly. Special Effects products depending on what they are can be removed in this manner also, your Make Up Artist will discuss care and removal with you.

Please supply a table, the Artist will generally bring their own makeup/face painting chair. Dependent on where the event is being held, a table and chairs/stools can be supplied at the venue.

Unfortunately people who are unwell, have a cough, cold, mucus will not have face paint or make up applied due to Health & Safety.

Well it all depends on what it is and if the Artist wants any! Seriously though, it's okay to bring food & drink into the face painting/make up area as long as someone is looking after it, it's not put on the makeup table and the person is not consuming it while in the makeup chair.  We do ask that parents please clean children's faces before being painted, you are welcome to ask the line manager for a baby wipe.
